Completed in 1890, the Forth Bridge is regarded as a national symbol of Scotland (having been voted the country’s greatest man-made wonder in 2016) and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was designed by the English engineers Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker. My photograph is an unusual low angle taken from the rocky shoreline near South Queensferry.
