A horse says “Hay, it’s your birthday.” I think it means happy birthday, but it could also be judging your cake. Either way, very educational.

Full description
This is a card. On it is a horse. The horse is saying “Hay, it’s your birthday.” I assume it is saying this because it has learned to communicate with humans, or possibly because someone put words on it with a pen. The horse looks quite pleased with itself, which is strange, because horses generally do not understand birthdays.
The pun is obvious. Hay is food, and also sounds like “hey,” which is the usual way humans get each other’s attention. The card is therefore both celebratory and educational, though slightly confusing if you are allergic to either horses or puns. It is likely to make the recipient feel happy, slightly guilty, or slightly hungry.
