I created the Rejects and Misfits section to embrace imperfections and cut down on unnecessary waste.
The weird, the wonky, the otherwise not-quite-right its all here!
There are many reasons why an item may be in this section, such as:
- Noticeable blemishes, fingerprints, or tool marks on product
- The clay warped slightly when drying
- The colours aren t quite as bright as I imagined
- It s the last of a collection, and I don t plan on making any more
- Packaging (box or display card) is damaged
- It was made from scrap (leftover) clay
- Repairs needed made during the making process
- I have refined my techniques since making these
- I was experimenting with new techniques or patterns
- I stared at the item too long and now I hate the look of it
- I kept dropping bits and it annoyed me, so I threw it in the reject pile
This jewellery is made from foam clay, and is much lighter than your average polymer clay great for sensory issues! Due to the nature of the materials, is it best if this item doesn't get wet, is handled with care, and is stored away from prolonged periods of direct sunlight.
All studs are supplied with a silicone earring back, as they are more comfortable when wearing, and more gentle on the earring.
These items will be packed as in the photograph either on an unbleached paper-based display card or gift box. Please reuse and recycle if possible.
