I create jewellery and accessories inspired by nature - animals, plants, fungi, habitats, landscapes, and anything else I find interesting!
The majority of my pieces are made from lightweight polymer clay, wood, and sea glass, but I also use real plants, lichen, and fungi, foraged from the forest floor over the colder months. My other art works also include paintings, ink prints, and framed seaweed presses using seaweed foraged from the strandline.
A note on ethics:
I pride myself on being ethical when collecting, so I only take a small portion of what I find, and only collect from fallen pieces of wood. Any animal bones included in my items have been found on the ground during walks, or in owl/raptor pellets. These pieces are rarer and therefore limited in number (as with any natural material), as they are less common and I do not want to deplete natural resources. I also ensure anything I find outside sits at just above room temperature for 48 hours to ensure any invertebrates can move on before the preservation/desiccation process.
