Medicine drums are living beings, healers, teachers and spiritual guides. Drums have been our allies throughout time and across many cultures - and women have had a centuries-old relationship with the frame drum. Your drum will be your sacred partner for life. They connect us the healing power of resonance.
I was called to make these drums for the Chinese year of the Fire Horse. They were born in the New Moon in Scorpio with a Grand Water Trine planetary alignment associated with a time of deep emotional processing, intuitive insights, and potent personal transformation. The three drums in this series are named after the planets in the formation - Mercury, Neptune and Jupiter.
This drum is aligned with energies to:
- harness your emotional power to take bold action
- identify and release old patterns that are holding you back
- journey with Horse spirit animal power in your inner and outer worlds.

14" Horse Leather Drum on Ash timber frame. Comes with its own beater and medicine bag - made in partnership with the Spirits of Place of the Black Mountains, Wales.
The beautiful marking is like a shooting star.
Make a wish!
Leather soaked in Artemisia to bring out the feminine energies of the moon and Oak to bring in the masculine for a wonderfully balanced drum. Comes complete with its own beater made from honey coloured suede and a cockerel feather. The medicine bag contains apple pips for the spirit of the Horse, clear quartz crystals, dried Mugwort flowers and space to add your own magic!
All materials were either found on my walks to sacred Welsh woodlands, grown in my garden or sourced sustainably from trusted and ethical suppliers.
