I wanted to make something a little more abstract using this piece of driftwood. I must have been feeling very creative and even a little chaotic looking at the wire branches. It's a fun piece and one which you could alter yourself as the wire is still flexible. You might even want to add more hearts. Whatever the case you can be sure this is the only wish tree sculpture like this in the world!
It began with he idea of capturing the meeting point between nature, light, and hope. The Cornish driftwood carries its own story — shaped by tides, weather, and time — and felt like the perfect grounding for something symbolic and gentle. The stained‑glass hearts were added as tiny tokens of colour and meaning. Each heart represents a wish, a thought, or a moment held lightly — like leaves that shimmer in the breeze or offerings hung on a tree for good fortune.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
This handcrafted Wish Tree sculpture is made by securing copper wire into a piece of kiln dried, waxed, and buffed Cornish driftwood, responsibly sourced from the coastline. The wire has been twisted and shaped into an abstract tree, its trunk and branches flowing upward in organic, branching lines. Hanging from the branches are small stained glass hearts in a mix of colours, each one hand cut and polished to catch the light.
The combination of warm driftwood, sculptural wire, and jewel bright glass gives the piece a quiet, uplifting presence. It sits beautifully on a shelf, desk, or windowsill, where the hearts can move gently with the air and glow when the light touches them. Small in scale but rich in detail, it works as a thoughtful gift, a personal keepsake, or a tiny place to rest wishes, intentions, or moments of reflection.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
