Inspired by nature I wanted to make some insects that were more three dimensional to hang out in the garden during good weather in the summer. This and some butterflies are the outcome. Soldering anything that isn't flat also posed a good problem-solving opportunity for me to improve my techniques.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

This listing is for one stained glass dragonfly with reflexed wings that give a more three-dimensional shape.
The finished item, with single hook, measures approximately 19 cm high by 23 cm wide. There is one hanging hooks and it is recommended you fix this to two points.
This item is hand cut and crafted using the Tiffany foiled glass method; each piece of glass is edged with copper foil, soldered and cleaned; sometimes a patina is added. Craft glass has unique imperfections making every piece original - we have done our best to faithfully show you the true colours in the photographs.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy. The dragonflies look wonderful hung on a tree on a dry day without wind, but need to be taken in at night.
Price is for the glass item only.
Postage cost is for 48-hour, tracked second class medium parcel. Due to their shape I have had to charge for a medium, rather than small parcel - any postage costs in excess of postage will be returned.
