This little snail grew from a sketch in my “round animals” series — a playful exploration of soft shapes, gentle curves and creatures that feel comforting to have around. The rainbow shell was inspired by the idea of carrying your own weather with you: a tiny spiral of colour that brightens even the greyest day. I wanted to capture that slow, steady, hopeful energy that snails embody, wrapped in a swirl of joyful glass.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
A cheerful stained glass snail with a rainbow shell, created to bring a little colour and quiet joy to any corner of your home. Its rounded form and spiralling shell give it a gentle, uplifting presence that sits beautifully on a windowsill, a studio wall or any sunlit space. Each band of the rainbow curves inward to a soft white centre, adding a sense of movement and calm.
This is a RowanHandmade original design. It is hand cut and crafted using the traditional Tiffany copper foil method. Every piece of glass is individually foiled, soldered and polished. Craft glass naturally contains tiny variations and textures, so each snail is completely unique.
The finished piece measures approximately 18 cm high by 17 cm wide. Two hanging hooks are securely soldered to the top and it is safest to hang the piece using both.
Please display your glass in a secure location. If dropped, it may break. This item is decorative and not a toy.
