This water lily was inspired by the first blooms rising from my small garden pond—those quiet, hopeful moments when the surface breaks and a new flower unfurls. I wanted to capture the warmth of those early petals, glowing softly in the morning light, so I chose iridised pink‑orange glass for its shifting colours and gentle shimmer. As the light moves, the glass echoes the way real water lilies change through the day: sometimes warm and sunlit, sometimes cool and reflective.
Making this piece was a way of honouring the stillness of the pond and the tiny rituals of nature that happen right outside my door. It’s a reminder of slow beginnings, soft colours, and the calm beauty that appears when water, light, and petals meet.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass waterlily shallow dish made with irridised pinky-orange glass. The petals are slightly raised as you can see in the photographs. The dish could have many uses - the waterlily shape invites dentle, poetic functionality, e.g. tealight holder, table centre accent, ring holder, etc...
The finished item measures approximately 20 cm from side to side.
This item is hand cut and crafted using the Tiffany foiled glass method; each piece of glass is edged with copper foil, soldered and cleaned; sometimes a patina is added. Craft glass has unique imperfections making every piece original - we have done our best to faithfully show you the true colours in the photographs.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
Price is for the glass item only.
Postage cost is for a medium parcel, tracked delivery. My apologies for the additional cost but this item will need to be well wrapped up to ensure it arrives successfully. Any unused p&p costs will be returned to the buyer.
