This Santa was inspired by the warmth and nostalgia of classic Christmas imagery. I wanted to create a piece that felt joyful and familiar, something that would glow gently in a window and bring a sense of festive comfort to a room. The translucent red and white glass were chosen for the way they catch winter light, echoing the soft glow of candles, fairy lights, and cosy evenings indoors.
The making process was slow and intentional, allowing the character of the glass to guide the final shape. The finished suncatcher holds that sense of warmth and tradition, offering a bright, cheerful presence throughout the festive season
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass Santa Claus suncatcher, approximately A4 in size. The piece measures around 26 centimetres in height and 20.5 centimetres in width, including the hanging hooks. Two hooks are securely attached on the reverse, and it is best to hang the suncatcher using both points for stability.
The red and white glass used in this Santa are beautifully translucent, allowing natural light to shine through and bring the design to life. When placed in a window, the colours glow warmly, creating a cheerful festive display that feels both traditional and handmade.
Each element is hand cut and crafted using the Tiffany copper foil method. Every piece of glass is wrapped, soldered, cleaned, and polished by hand. Craft glass naturally carries tiny variations and characterful textures, which means every Santa is completely unique. The photographs were taken in natural light to show the colours as faithfully as possible.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
Price is for the glass item only.
Postage cost is for 48-hour second class, medium parcel, tracked delivery. I apologise for the additional cost but this item will be well packaged and sent with care so as not to break the unique suncatcher.
