This tulip was inspired by the elegant curves and stylised forms of art‑deco design—clean lines, soft symmetry, and a sense of quiet refinement. I chose wispy pink glass for its gentle movement and the way it shifts from soft blush to deeper rose tones as the light changes. The piece grew from a desire to capture that moment of early spring when tulips first open, full of promise and calm beauty.
Creating it was a mindful process: slow cutting, careful shaping, and a steady rhythm of soldering that allowed the form to unfold naturally. The finished tulip holds that sense of stillness and intention, offering a small moment of brightness wherever it hangs
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
A single stained glass tulip crafted in a soft art deco style, made from translucent wispy pink glass that glows beautifully when the light passes through it. The gentle movement in the glass gives the petals a sense of depth and quiet elegance, making this a striking yet calming piece for any window or wall.
The finished tulip measures approximately 22 cm high by 12 cm wide, including the hanging hook. One secure hook is soldered to the reverse; for safety, it’s best to hang the piece from a solid fixing rather than a temporary or lightweight hook.
Each element is hand cut and shaped using the traditional Tiffany copper foil method. Every piece of glass is wrapped, soldered, cleaned, and polished by hand; sometimes a patina is added to deepen the finish. Craft glass naturally carries tiny variations, swirls, and textures, making every piece completely unique. Photographs are taken in natural light to show the colours as faithfully as possible.
There is only one tulip in this exact colourway, making it a special, one off piece
