This design grew out of my love for creating cosy, sculptural pieces that feel both practical and beautiful on real dogs. I wanted to move beyond a simple tube snood and experiment with a gentle twist that wraps softly around the neck, giving warmth while adding a stylish drape. Knitting this in chunky pink yarn reminded me how texture and shape can completely change a garment, and it encouraged me to create a more distinctive, shawl-style collar that still feels comfortable and easy to wear.
Safety information
This snood is intended as a supervised accessory for short periods, such as walks, car journeys, or chilly days. Please remove it if your dog shows any signs of overheating, discomfort, or restlessness. Never leave your dog unattended while wearing any knitted item, and ensure the snood is not chewed or pulled. Keep away from open flames, heat sources, or lit candles. Washing: Cool hand wash at 30°C only. Reshape while damp and dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

This beautiful chunky, hand-knitted dog snood has been lovingly made by me at Jacob’s Threads.
Knitted in a soft, cosy chunky yarn, this unique design features a gentle twist detail, giving it a stylish wrap-around look while keeping your dog warm and snug on chilly walks. The stretchy garter stitch means it’s comfortable to wear and easy to slip over your dog’s head.
Each snood is carefully finished with my signature Jacob’s Threads leather label, making it feel special, handmade, and thoughtful — not mass-produced.
This snood is best suited to small to medium dogs, but thanks to the stretch in the yarn it can comfortably fit a range of neck sizes. It’s ideal for cockapoos, spaniels, small terriers, and similar breeds.
Perfect for winter walks, car journeys, or simply adding a cosy layer on colder days.
