During my gap year before going to university, I was given a little handmade needle case by the mother of a friend. It was made from felt and scraps of lace and I have treasured it ever since. Three decades on it is still in daily use and it would be lovely to think that one of these little cases could give as good service!

Full description
Sweet little patchwork needle case stitched from leftover strips of Tilda 'Merry Christmas' fabrics in a selection of florals, stripes and checks. I treated myself to a pack of these fabrics with the intention of stitching a patchwork quilt. I may not have finished the quilt yet but I've gathered quite a pile of leftover scraps which were too pretty to throw away, so I've created this needle case.
The needle case is lined with red and white gingham cotton fabric and has a layer of batting to give a lightly padded effect. There are two pieces of cream felt giving four 'pages' which have been decorated with snippets of leftover ribbon. The case is fastened with a vintage 'Mother of pearl' button and ribbon loop.
Designs may vary slightly, but the case you will receive is the one shown in the photos.
I've included a selection of sewing essentials to start your collection - please note that contents may vary depending on availability.
The needle case measures approximately 8.5cm x 10cm
NB the scissors and reels of ribbon are not included.
