Apatite is a calcium phosphate, the same mineral that makes up the teeth and bones of all vertebrates.
It is found in an array of colours, most commonly blues and greens, but also yellows, browns and greys.
The blue-green stones I have used here are named 'Ocean Blue Apatite' after their beautiful aqua hue.
Apatite is thought to stimulate clarity of thought, wisdom snd creativity.
Like all gemstones Apatite is sensitive to chemicals, abrasives and heat, but at a Mohs hardness of 5, it should be treated with extra care.

Full description
Chunky, rough cut pillars of natural Ocean Blue Apatite, highlighted with sterling silver stardust beads, topped with tiny, micro-faceted Ocean Blue Apatite crystals and hung from sterling silver ear-wires.
The Apatite columns measure approximately 7x12mm, the sterling silver laser cut stardust beads are 3mm, and the A grade faceted Apatite crystals are 2mm.
Please note that Apatite is a relatively soft stone and should be treated with care.
Hand made in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, Mother's Day or as a treat for yourself.
These earrings measure approximately 1 inches (2.5cm), excluding the ear-wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within mainland UK.
