Full description
Hand knitted socks are a delightful blend of traditional craftsmanship and personal expression. Unlike mass-produced socks, each pair is unique, reflecting the skill and creativity of the knitter. These socks are cherished for their warmth, comfort, and intricate designs, making them a favourite amongst those who appreciate handmade goods.
These hand knitted socks have been made using my hand-dyed yarn. They are an unusual mix of grey and coral, which is why I have called them 'peachy'.
The yarn is a wool/nylon mix; nylon being added for extra strength and durability. Wool is a natural fiber and contains air pockets that trap heat making it a great insulator. It can also absorb 30% of moisture without feeling wet and so 'wicks' away sweat. Wool is also biodegradable.
I have knitted them in the traditional way of using five double pointed needles and in the round, meaning there are no seams.
