I spotted some beautiful poppies growing in a file of rubble in an old run down car park. Despite being late for work, I took a photo and when I returned, the petals had blown away. It reminded me of seizing the moment.

I'm excited to include this print as part of Folksy’s Perfectly Imperfect promotion. This particular piece is being sold as a second it’s still a beautiful print, but it doesn’t quite meet my usual high standards due to a few small imperfections. Because of that, I’m offering it at a reduced price. Please do take a moment to look closely at the photos, where I’ve pointed out any tiny flaws, and have a read through the description below for more details. I want you to feel completely happy with your purchase.
I've listed this original linocut as a second because there's quite a large piece of plant matter in the paper and a few extra creases. On of the leaves has a 'salty' appearance, which means the ink appears mottled/uneven rather than flat. Other than that, it looks lovely and you might even enjoy the extra handmade character these tiny quirks give the piece! The print is made on beautiful handmade Himalayan paper, which has a gorgeous translucent quality where you can see all the natural fibres. It also features a deckled edge. The print measures approximately 25 x 30cm (10 x 12") at its widest points.
As this is a second, it is unsigned and will be posted in a sturdy hard-backed envelope to keep it safe on its way to you.
These would make a wonderful birthday present for anyone born in August as this is the birth flower for this month.
