Art nouveau or 'new art' was an international style flourishing between 1890 and 1910 originating in Britain and Belgium.
Characterized by the sinuous 'whiplash' curves and organic plant motifs.
Designers such as William Morris, Mucha and Tiffany exemplify the style.

Machine embroidered design on furnishing weight cotton.
Lining is 100% cotton.
Purse is interlined and interfaced for shape and added protection.
Purse has kiss lock frame.
Frame is hand sewn for extra strength and durability.
Size approx 10cms X 10cms X7cms.
