A story in wood and stone.
his ring started as a piece of ancient bog oak carefully carved by myself, a tree that grew thousands of years ago before being preserved in the mud. Its deep black color and silent history are what I love most.
To stabilise and highlight its natural texture, I sealed the wood with multiple layers of urushi lacquer. I love feel of Urushi on the wood. This wooden seat now cradles a bright chip of dark citrine, all wrapped in sterling silver.
