This cake stand was inspired by the balance between elegance and practicality found in traditional tableware. By combining ripple elm and yew wood, the piece celebrates contrast — flowing grain against rich colour, strength paired with refinement. Designed to elevate everyday moments, it turns simple gatherings into something a little more special.

Full description
This handcrafted cake stand is made from a combination of ripple elm wood and yew wood, carefully selected to highlight the natural beauty of both timbers. The smooth, rounded top provides a generous surface for cakes, pastries, or savoury displays, while the turned pedestal base adds stability and classic form.
The ripple elm offers striking movement within the grain, while the yew introduces warm tones and character, creating a visually rich and timeless piece. Finished by hand to a smooth, food-safe surface, this stand is as practical as it is decorative.
Perfect for serving cakes, desserts, cheese, or afternoon tea, it also works beautifully as a centrepiece when not in use. Each stand is entirely unique, shaped by the natural variations of the wood.
