This bag was my very first attempt at weaving onto plastic canvas. I used recycled polyester T shirt yarn, learning as I went and taking my time with each section. It was made slowly, experimenting with structure, texture, and strength, and discovering just how versatile these materials can be. What began as a learning piece became something special, a unique Bible Book bag created through patience, practice, and a genuine love of making.

Full description
This unique handmade bag is woven using polyester T shirt yarn onto a sturdy plastic canvas base, carefully reinforced with buckram padding for structure and fully lined for a neat finish. Designed as a decorative and special occasion piece, it works beautifully as a shoulder bag or as a striking storage bag for treasured items.
One side features a rich purple base with a black cross, highlighted with silver metallic thread and silver tone crystal settings. The other side has a black base with a crystal set golden cross, accented with gold metallic thread and gold tone crystal settings.
A mixed gold and silver chain strap complements both sides.
Sized to comfortably fit a book or Bible up to approximately 26 x 18 x 3 cm. This is a statement piece intended for light use, special occasions, display, or meaningful storage rather than everyday wear.
This bag took many hours of careful handwork, making it a true one of a kind piece.
