Seeing a robin always makes me smile, easy to spot with their bright red feathers, cheerful little birds with a beautiful song.

Full description
A lovely little fused glass robin on a small yew wood stand.
The little robin has been handmade using glass powders and modelling glass binders which have been shaped into a little robin by hand and with the help of a few clay modelling tools. The legs are made using nichrome high temperature wire that is embedded it into the glass.
The completed robin has been fused in the kiln over several hours to create a solid glass finished piece that is decorated and has a little texture on the front and is smooth brown on the back. This one has then been etched to give a softer Matt finish.
A small slice of Yew wood has been used to make the stand, lightly sanded and polished with beeswax to give a smooth but rustic finish.
The robin has been fitted to the stand by drilling small holes for legs to fit into and then secured in place using 2 part epoxy glue.
Stand Measurement - Approximately 5cm wide x 2cm high
Robin Measurement - Approximately 7cm wide x 4.5cm high x 6mm thick
Total height - Approximately 8cm
I love making these little robins, they are made to the same design though each one is a little different due to being individually hand made.
The one in the photograph is the one that you will receive.
Supplied in a black gift box inside a sturdy postal box.
