These beautiful forms of sweet peas capture a moment-in-time in my Derbyshire garden in late spring/early summer. I love the forms of the flowers, buds and tendrils and how the textures capture so well in the plaster castings.

Full description
Framed bas relief casting of cottage garden favourite 'Sweet pea's' created in my Derbyshire garden. This one-of-a-kind and unique set of four castings shows the simple beauty of nature and captures a moment-in-time in the summer flower garden.
This casting was created by imprinting the sweet pea flowers and shoots in natural clay and then cast in Plaster of Paris. The casts were then sanded and finished before being hand-painted in Farrow and Ball colours 'Dix Blue', 'Breakfast Room Green' and 'Ball Green'.
These four casts have been mounted onto Daler Rowney (FATG approved and PH neutral) mountboard and added to a wooden deep box frame (FSC certified) which has been hand-painted in Farrow and Ball 'London Stone'. The frame measure 240mm x 240mm (outer edges), 200mm x 200mm (aperture), 35mm (depth). The frame has a metal hook to the back for easy hanging.
Please note: Each casting is handmade and hand-poured so the thickness of the casting may vary between pieces and there may be minor imperfections. These add to the character of the piece.
One in a series of Sweet pea castings in my Cottage Garden Collection.
