I love all animals, I first encountered Hippo's on a trip to Longleat and they absolutely fascinate me. Plus I'm rather fond of a Disney film or two so ballerina hippo's was a must - the ballerina element is definitely not a representation of me and my two left feet!

Full description
This sweet little girl proved very popular at markets in 2025, so much so I am now offering her on our folksy shop. Handmade by me, following a pattern but with a few little tweaks.
This charming hippo is made from chunky chenille yarn - I can easily alter the colour of her tutu and bow should you wish to make it match with your ballet wear, just send me a message to request this. I can also add different coloured eyes to match the accessories.
I will require a lead time of 7-10 days for this item.
