My background is in Graphic Design and although I'm now retired I still enjoy the creative process. A lot of my work features birds and flowers and I particularly love combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, one-of-a-kind mixed media pieces.

Full description
A pretty little textile bird picture in a palette of soft pinks, blues and greens. It would make a lovely Mother's Day gift or present for a bird lover.
It has been made using a mixture of cotton fabrics cut and arranged in the style of a mosaic. The little burgundy folk bird perched in the middle has been given a colourful wing and embroidery threads to add interest and texture.
The artwork comes in an 8 inch white, square mount with a 3.75 inch aperture. It is titled and signed on reverse. It comes with a handmade gift tag.
NB. I'm currently experimenting with fabrics and papers to create mosaic-style artworks and as this is one of my first pieces I'm selling it as a sample.
