Made from beautifully soft royal blue merino wool fibres topped with multicoloured silk fibres, this scarf will make a striking addition to any outfit.
Fine layers of merino wool fibres have been laid out, topped with multicoloured silk fibres and felted using a wet felting technique. This causes the fibres to bond together to create a stable fabric. While the wool provides soft warmth the silk adds colour, texture and a beautiful sheen to the surface.
The silk fibres have been added to one side of the scarf only, the reverse has been left plain. .
The resulting scarf is soft and lightweight, measuring approximately 184cm x 22cm and is long enough to tie in a knot or wrap around the neck for extra warmth if required.
Wool is a natural fibre making it eco friendly, sustainable and biodegradable. It is breathable and reacts to the body temperature giving warmth in the winter but cool in the summer making this an all season accessory. A lovely gift for mothers day or any other occasion.
The scarf will be shipped wrapped in tissue paper with a card explaining the felting process and washing instructions.
Handwash only in warm water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
