My inspiration comes from the raw, organic shape of reclaimed wood. I wanted to use its jagged edges and natural grain to represent the weathered beauty of the coast. By painting a peaceful Mediterranean scene on this narrow fragment, I aimed to capture a 'slice' of summer and create a harmony between natural materials and architectural detail.

Full description
This unique artwork is painted on a long, jagged piece of wood. Acrylics and matt varnish used. Unframed.
It shows a Mediterranean scene with a pink house, a calm blue sea, and a small boat.
I used the natural texture of the wood to make the pier and building look weathered and realistic. The overall mood is peaceful and sunny.
