As soon as I saw the lovely autumnal, vintage velvet in an antiques market I wanted to make hats from it. I love period dramas and took my inspiration from Downton Abbey and Gosford Park.

My 1920's /1930's style flapper hat is made from vintage, plush velvet with a brown taffeta lining. The hat is 23 ins or 59 cm.
