The inspiration for this vase came from the natural movement within ash wood. The interplay between lighter and darker grain creates patterns that feel almost painted, yet are entirely formed by nature. I wanted to emphasise that character in a tall, elegant shape—allowing the eye to travel up the grain and fully appreciate the story held within the wood.

This tall handcrafted vase is turned from ash wood, standing 13 and a half inches high and just under 5 inches wide. Ash is known for its striking grain, and this piece beautifully showcases flowing patterns in both light and dark tones, creating natural contrast and depth throughout the form. Its tall, slender profile makes it ideal as a statement piece, whether displayed on its own or styled with dried or artificial stems.
