Emmeline the Ermine
Hand-carved from basswood with a single knife, painted in watercolour and acrylic, and finished with Danish oil.
Standing at 10 cm tall and 3.5 x 3.5 cm in size, Emmeline arrives in her finest cherry-print swimsuit, clutching her loyal yellow duck and eyeing the water with deep seasonal suspicion.
It may be swimwear on the outside, but it’s December in her winter-white fur — and she’s quite certain that dipping even a single paw into a cold pool is a decision best postponed until warmer days.
