Full description
Spring in the woods is an original A4 watercolour painted on 25% cotton paper using MeiLiang paints, known for their bright but not fully lightfast character. Created during the “Countryside Watercolour Marathon” led by Igor Khaikov, this piece captures the joy of seasonal transition — where snow meets sunlight and trees stretch toward the light.
The artwork is intentionally imperfect, embracing the natural shifts that may occur over time. Colours may soften, edges bloom — each change is a reflection of the forest’s own transformation. This is not a static image, but a living memory.
Signed and dated by the artist (me), the painting comes mounted in a soft white 11"x14" mount, ready to frame or gift. Perfect for lovers of atmospheric landscapes, poetic impermanence, and for those who love a walk in nature.
