Amazonite was given its name after the river in South America due to an abundance of the stone found in Brazil, although it’s been located in many other areas worldwide (the stones used here are from Madagascar). It’s been used for thousands of years for trinkets, amulets and also for writing tablets. It was originally thought that its blue colour was linked to copper however research has found that it’s actually due to small traces of lead and water in its chemical composition.
Amazonite is often associated with harmony and communication, making it a ‘peacemaker’ stone.

Full description
A double stranded stretchy bracelet featuring silver plated copper roses, linked together with 8mm amazonite rounds and 4mm silver plated spacer beads. These roses have been lovingly upcycled, so the colour is a mixture of shiny silver and pale pinky copper underneath.
