Full description
A hand burnished block print of a lino cut taken from my original sketch and photo of some Tunnocks teacakes.
The drawing is transferred in reverse to a piece of Lino which is then hand carved to remove the elements that you don't want printed. The video shows the completed carved lino being inked up for the first time.
Each print is made using Caligo Safewash inks and comes in a choice of HoSho paper (which is bright white) and Zerkall (off white). The prints on Zerkall paper have deckled edges.
A baren is used to hand burnish the print, which means every print I make is individual and unique and that slight variations may occur in the printing process - you can see these variations in the images.
Paper size is approximately 26 x 19cm, image size is approximately 18 x 12.5 cm.
This is an open edition print, each one will come hand signed, wrapped in tissue in a sturdy envelope ready for you to frame.
