I think I had the idea of flying birds hanging amongst my hanging plants and these were created. And who doesn't watch birds of prey in flight in awe!

Full description
A handmade and hand decorated bird, modelled on a golden eagle in mid flight. It is designed to be hung - I hang mine amongst hanging plants, as if it is flying through a wood or forest.
These were a joy to decorate - multiple layers of watercolour underglazes and touches of a dark gold metallic glaze. The photos don't really do these justice - the colours change in the light. They are so glossy and tactile.
Wing span in a folded position - 55 mm
Beak to tail - 45 mm
Stoneware clay bisque fired and then hand decorated in a range of watercolour glazes. Dipped in transparent glaze before firing again in the kiln.
Finished with gold thread, ready to be hung.
It will be safely packaged in a gift box and delivered using Royal Mail 48 hr tracked service.
