I like to slow carve during the winter when I can come in from my work shed and sit by the fire to keep warm. I carved this spatula spoon from a piece of locally sourced birch wood. Many quiet hours go into the making of each piece.

This spoon is finished with Tung oil - a resilient, food safe oil that his made by crushing the seeds of the Tung oil Tree.

Full description
Slow made, hand carved spatula spoon designed for lefties, though anyone can use it. Good for stir fries. The size of the spatula part is somewhere between a large tablespoon and a dessert spoon.
9 inches long from tip to tip, the spatula part is 1.5 inches wide. Finished with food safe tung oil (made from Tung trees).
This little spatula spoon has been slow carved by hand using edge tools. I let the tool marks show to create a one of a kind craft item that is also strong and robust and can hold its own in the kitchen.
Best to wash by hand to prolong its life.
