As with many of my works from this period, this piece was created during quiet, reflective hours, often in the early morning when stillness allowed for sustained focus and attention. The repetitive dot work became a meditative process, helping the image unfold slowly rather than being fixed from the outset.
The eye form was chosen as a symbol of awareness and inward seeing. Rather than depicting a literal figure, the composition centres on observation and presence, with the eye held within layered pattern and symmetry.
The balance between structure and intuition shaped how the piece developed, with careful planning supported by rhythm, repetition, and restraint. The result is a work intended to hold focus and calm within a space, inviting pause rather than interpretation.

Full description
This original hand-painted mandala was created as a steady, centring focal piece for an inner altar or quiet, intentional space.
The composition is built around symmetry and repetition, allowing the mandala to unfold gradually through layered acrylic dot work. Rather than depicting a figure or symbol, the piece focuses on balance, rhythm, and containment, inviting stillness through form and pattern.
Careful planning underpins the structure of the work, while the slow, meditative process allows subtle variation to emerge across the surface. The result is a piece that feels calm and resolved, designed to sit with a space rather than draw attention away from it.
This is a one-of-a-kind artwork, created to hold focus and quiet presence within the home.
