Purpleheart (Peltogyne spp.) is a striking, durable exotic hardwood from Central & South America, famous for its rich, vibrant purple colour that deepens with light exposure. It is tricky to work with but a pleasure to see the final result. The wood is prized for its exceptional strength, decay resistance, and stunning visual appeal. I have one that I combined with a rose quartz heart and the two work brilliantly together. A romantic piece!

This item is made from wood. Wood can be affected by light. In this case light can enhance the depth of colour. To much light and warmth may cause the wood to expand/move. Please keep away from radiators.

Purpleheart, a magic jewel of the wood,
Turned with love, as only a craftor could.
Each turn, each stroke, a quiet art,
A bowl that holds both love and heart.
14cm x 4cm approx.
The piece can be enhanced by putting in sunlight as it will turn a brighter purple. If kept in the dark it will return to a brown purple shade.
