Echo - The Comparable is an original hand stitched and mixed media artwork from my ongoing Ghosts Of The Big Top series.
Echo is a carousel horse haunted by comparison. He was born into a lineage of grand, heroic ancestors, he quietly suffers from depression and impostor syndrome. While others see joy in his role entertaining children, Echo feels diminished by it - believing himself less worthy because he exists for play rather than glory.
This piece explores themes of inherited expectation, quiet labor, and the emotional weight of feeling "not enough".
This artwork is constructed using layered textiles, hand embroidery, and mixed media on old archival paper. Every stitch is intentional, contributing to the sense of fragility, wear, and memory that runs through the series. The tactile surface and visible handwork are integral to the narrative.
This is an original, signed, framed artwork. It comes with a collector card and Certificate Of Authenticity.
