One family holiday we stayed in a cottage on the Ayrshire coast. From the living room window we could look out over the Firth of Clyde to Ailsa Craig. Every evening brought us a new display of incredible sunset colours. When I came home I had to recreate these colour and share them with you.

The stunning colours of sunset on the Ayrshire coast captured in a wet felted and beaded wall hanging.
Ailsa Craig is a much loved landmark just off the Ayrshire coast – a granite island standing proud in the Firth of Clyde.
Wet felted in merino wool and silk scraps, machine embroidered and embellished with glass seed beads, this delightful wall hanging evokes a summer evening after a storm, sitting by the sea and enjoying the calm.
