An elderly friend gave me her unfinished embroideries, including a gorgeous but, sadly, stained crewel work apron. I have taken part of the design and appliqued it on the flap of this versatile bag, creating something new and unusual.
The bag design is by Emmaline Bags – Mini Mountain Saddlebag, a pattern I have used many times and keep returning to because it is a small but spacious bag and the flap is perfect for creating unique designs.

Full description
A stunning, one of a kind handbag, which would make a beautiful Christmas or Birthday present. Made from a gorgeous purple corduroy fabric with an unusual flap design of vintage crewel work appliqued to ice-dyed fabric, and finished with an iridescent clasp.
The coordinating light purple cotton webbing strap is adjustable and long enough to be either a shoulder bag or cross-body.
The interior is spacious and lined with a vintage grey and red flower motif fabric. There is a large zipped pocket with a cute flower zip pull.
Bag pattern is Mountain Saddlebag by Emmaline Bags.
