I spotted some beautiful poppies growing in a file of rubble in an old run down car park. Despite being late for work, I took a photo and when I returned, the petals had blown away.

I spotted some beautiful poppies growing in a file of rubble in an old run down car park. Despite being late for work, I took a photo and when I returned, the petals had blown away.
These would make a wonderful birthday present for anyone born in August as this is the birth flower for this month.
Each of these original linocut prints have been carefully printed onto beautiful handmade Himalayan paper. It has a wonderful translucent quality in which you can see all of the fibres and features a deckled edge. I have created two variations, one on a darker paper and the other on a lighter paper. Please see the picture showing both types in the cello bags.
These prints measure approximately 25 x 30cm (10 x 12") at the widest points but there may be some variation in size and texture due to the qualities of the handmade paper. These prints are unframed but look great in glass backed frames or hanging wooden magnetic frames to really showcase the paper. Each print is signed and dated by myself and sent in a compostable cello bag inside a hard backed envelope. Produced as an open edition.
My artwork is hand-printed in small batches, so please allow for subtle variations in colour and ink markings, which make every print truly unique. This is the joy of human handmade art!
