I was experimenting with bundle dyed eco prints on wool, which worked pretty well. The large red to red-black leaves were found locally fallen from a Catalpa Vine tree, and used to good effect. Result was rather dark and dull, so I used modifier lemon juice to turn pinker. Since done, the entire scarf has turned darker and leaf prints stayed the same deep crimson-maroon. Tannin in leaves can cause deeper colours. The silk border was eco printed the same with a brighter shiny antique look.

Original eco printed fine wool with large red vine tree leaves. Silk eco printed border ends. Overall tone of deep old gold with deep crimson, maroon and brown leaf prints amidst other abstract leaf prints.
