Full description
Handmade pewter swimming otter necklace. This elegant swimming otter was hand-cast using high quality pewter, carved and then polished.
I have tried to capture as much detail of the movement in the otter when making the miniature sculpture. I first made the sculpture in clay, before making a two part mould to cast the otter in pewter.
Each beautiful slender otter comes on an 18 inch silver chain and comes in an eco hand stamped gift box. The otters are made of 100% recycled pewter mugs which I cut up and then heat to around 250 degrees before pouring into my mould. These are then trimmed, buffed and polished to produce a beautiful shiny surface.
