These big bold handmade floral daisy ceramic earrings are completely unique.
I make all my earrings from clay I forage myself from my home in Bristol, UK. Making them some of the most sustainable earrings in the world!
When I decided I wanted to make these flower earrings it was clear that I needed a different clay to what is available around my home city of Bristol and that an expidition was needed to go find some China clay. This journey took me to the southern edges of Dartmoor national park and the edge of a large lake up on the hills. After sifting, processing and lots of experimenting this new design was born.
I have been playing with wild foraged clay for a couple of years now and am obsessed with the beautiful texture created when paired with these rich deep glazes! Once I have processed the clay and made my earring designs, they are then fired to stoneware (1220 celcius) temperatures and become ceramic.
The picture shows the design and glaze used but each pair will have slight variations. The hooks are made with hypoallergenic stainless steel.
These come in a hand stamped eco gift box and I am happy to include a personalised message free of charge.
