This owl grew out of the quiet moments at the edge of the day — when the fields turn silver, the trees deepen into silhouettes, and the first owl calls drift across the dusk. I’ve always loved the hush of that hour, the way owls seem both mysterious and familiar, watching from their hidden perches.
Working with the wool from my own Dorset Down sheep feels like carrying a little piece of that landscape into my hands. Each brooch becomes a tiny tribute to the woods, the twilight, and the soft rhythm of rural life — a small creature shaped from wool, evening light, and a bit of wonder.

Bring a little night-time magic to your outfit with this handmade needle-felted barn owl brooch.
Each piece is individually crafted using soft wool from my own Dorset Down sheep and securely set onto a wooden backing for a rustic, timeless feel.
This owl has gentle amber tones, tiny hand-felted details, and a soft blue background that makes the design really pop. It’s a lovely little statement for knitwear, coats, scarves or a special gift for anyone who loves British wildlife.
