It's now definitely Xmas Shopping time! Folksy is packed full of fabulous gift ideas and of course SPOONS are at the top of my suggestions list - they are long-lasting, planet-friendly, practical, postable and can be personalised to make the perfect gift for anybody, whether it's a budget buy for the office secret santa, a stocking filler for your partner, a joke present for your best mate or a classy offering for those well-off rellies who have everything (tip: I bet they don't have one of my spoons).
HOLIDAY DATES: Please note the shop will be CLOSED for Xmas from Tues 16 Dec to Fri 2 Jan inclusive so don't leave it too late to order your presents!
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Inspired by a family holiday to Brittany some years ago, I've hand stamped POWERED BY BUTTER onto a vintage butter spreader with a cream-coloured faux bone (i.e. plastic of some sort) handle and a silver-plated round-ended blade. A great letterbox gift for a butter-lover!
It's about 17cm long and the black in the letters is a harmless water-based acrylic ink. The joint between blade and handle is still sound and it's generally in good nick; there is a little residual tarnish on the blade and the collar. I quite like the 'antiqued' look but a spot of silver polish and elbow grease should remove it if you want the blade to be shinier.
Wash by hand and don't ever leave your spreader soaking in water as this will eventually loosen the handle joint. This applies to any cutlery where blade and handle are of different materials!
If you can't see exactly what you want in my shop, message me and ask, I love commissions and will happily work with you to create your dream spreader, spoon, cakefork or whatever.
