These beautiful fabric dolls are hand made with love in North Wales by Nanma.

Since losing her beloved husband in 2018, Nanma has been designing and making her "Ladies of Leisure" and the "Ladies Who Lunch" as a way to keep herself occupied and as a way to work through her grief in a mindful, positive and creative way. Each doll is completely unique and takes several days to complete. Nanma uses a variety of luxury & vintage fabrics, hand knitted garments, felt, wool, beads, bows and sparkles to create them and the finished doll is always so full of character one could almost believe that of an evening they come to life and make their own transport arrangements to get to the ball or their lunch date!

Nanma is reluctant to sell these beautiful ladies as she is so attached to them emotionally. I have encouraged her to share them with a wider audience here on Folksy and she is willing to sell them if the right buyer comes along.

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Read the Folksy Returns Policy.

Full description

This listing is for a very unique fabric doll named "Buddug" (a Welsh name pronounced Bi-dig) She is from the "Ladies Who Lunch"" range of beautiful handcrafted dolls from "Handmade By Nanma" (the Grandmother Red Squirrel in our Workshops).

This characterful doll has a simple cotton base body but her wild wool hair and classy designer outfit reflect that she is a very interesting lady indeed! She is sporting classy striped trousers, a red hand knitted jumper and scarf set, spotty hat and felt bag, finished off with a red and black felt jacket and red felt boots.

She is all ready for her lunch date with some of her dearest friends.

Due to the delicate nature of this hand stitched dolly it is not recommended for use as a toy.
