Retro decoration style - one of my little hanging soldiers from the Nutcracker ballet would look gorgeous decorating your Christmas tree, or buy a few and dangle them from bunting or a garland.
Part of my zero waste approach to crafting, these decorations are made using offcuts of quilting cotton fabric from making my Christmas stockings and aprons - this is a beautiful print in rich reds and hot pinks, on a stunning turquoise background.
Each soldier has been fussy cut to echo the shape of the motif, backed with red fabric and stuffed with soft wadding to create gently rounded decorations that hang very nicely.
Butchers twine, with lovely twists of red and purple cord, is sewn through the top of the soldiers head and knotted to create the hanging loop.
Your soldier will be chosen at random from those I have made up, but if you have a preference (for example the soldier with the gingerbread man) please add a note to your order and I will try and do that for you.
Approximately 4.5 inches tall, with a 2 inch hanging loop.
