'The Cry of the Gulls' - This one of a kind miniature diorama features an isolated little house on the cliffs, with gulls swooping and the wind sighing.
Like many of my dioramas, it is inspired by my love of the coast and tales of the sea, and this one is partly inspired by a visit to Achmelvich Bay in the North West of Scotland.
The design comes from original drawings which have been transformed into pieces of laser cut plywood and mount board. I then paint all the pieces by hand, assemble them to form 3d layers and set them into a glazed, white wooden box frame, which measures approx 11cm; the scene itself measures 7.7cm x 7.7cm. Each picture I make is completely unique.
To show its details clearly, this item is pictured without its frame glass.
