Full description
A stunning kingfisher alights on a branch over watery reeds. On a lower branch rests a gold coloured crown.
Painted in gold around the base, are the words ‘of myths and kings and halcyon days’.
This is a unique and original handmade sculpture created from recycled paper and other materials including wood, wire and old bird magazines.
The sculpture has been hand painted in Windsor and Newton acrylic paint and finished in a gloss varnish.
It is part of a series of papier maché sculptures inspired by UK bird folklore.
This original artwork is not intended for children. It would make a perfect gift for the bird or folklore enthusiast.
Although it appears delicate, the sculpture is relatively sturdy but I would recommend cleaning gently with a soft cloth to avoid damage.
The sculpture measures approximately 29cm tall and is around 20cm at its widest point.
Postage is included on this item and recycled packaging materials will be used where possible.
