Full description

A one-of-a-kind cushion made from panels of habotai silk, each section dyed with plants gathered and grown in my dye garden or foraged on hikes. This piece includes colours created from Marigold, Willow, Hawthorn and Madder, soft shades that drift from pinks to gentle yellows, depending on the plants and how long each dye was allowed to simmer or steep.

The back is cotton dyed with buddleia twigs, giving a warm, soft yellow that complements the front beautifully. Inside is a UK-made polyester pad so it’s ready to place and enjoy.

Because these colours come from real plants, expect natural variations, slight shading, and small irregularities. The quiet marks of a slow, handmade process.

The cushion measures 38 by 38 cm and comes with a plump UK-made polyester pad.

For care, gently spot clean where possible. If you need to wash the cover, hand wash or use a delicate cycle with a pH-neutral detergent, and dry out of direct sunlight to preserve the plant colours.
